Akwa United forward Akarandut Orok retires from professional football

Akwa United legend, Akarandut Orok has retired from professional football at the age of 35.

The forwàrd called it quit with the round leather game on Saturday and has now joined the Promise Keepers back room staff ahead of next season.

Akarandut Orok made his name with the Promise Keepers and He was the Nigeria Proffessional Football League top scorer in 2008/09 with 17 goals.

He won the Aiteo Cup and the league title with the before and leaves as one of their most successful players.

The one time NPFL winner who played for Super Eagles team B had a stint in Tunisia, UAE and Bahrain.
