Akwa United stood no chance against a “Quality” Al Hilal side in Sunday’s 2-0 defeat in the CAF Confederation Cup play-off round match according to midfielder Kelly Kester.

Home team, Al-Hilal scored two goals in the opening 25 minutes, rattling the NPFL club who struggled without lease to break the compact defence of the Sudanese side.

In a phone interview with Brila.net after the game, Kester admitted the home team were the better side on the day and were also very clinical with their chances.

The Promise Keepers will hope to overturn the deficit in the reverse fixture and particularly take full advantage of playing the second leg at home.
