Akwa United will unveil new players and new club anthem to the media, fans, and supporters of the club at Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo today (Friday).
The released over ten players from last season and have contracted top quality players from within and outside Nigeria to strengthen the team ahead of the coming 2018-19 season.
According to a release from the media department of the Club, the event is expected start by 10 am which includes official presentation of the Club’s anthem: God’s Strength We Possess to Strike.
Akwa United finished second last season behind Lobi Stars who were crowned champions after the league was stopped with fourteen matches remaining.
The Rafael Everton side will begin their quest for their first NPFL title with a home fixture against El Kanemi Warriors on Sunday, January 13, 2019.
