Former Super Eagles striker Benedict Akwegbu has stated that Rohr should test the Partnership of Victor Oshimen and Odion Ighalo in the forthcoming friendlies against Côte D’Ivoire and Tunisia next month.
In an exclusive chat with Brila.net the former Nigerian international advised the gaffer of the eagles to give it a test upfront for the most expensive African player and new signing for Napoli, Victor Oshimen together with the Manchester United talisman Odion Jude Ighalo saying, Ighalo is experienced while Oshimen a scorer and a fighter that, their partnership will be wonderful.
”I think the coach should play Ighalo and Oshimen upfront in the next month’s international friendlies to test their partnership, to me, Ighalo is an experienced player and Oshimen is a scorer and a fighter so, I think both of them would make a very good partnership. “He told Brila.net.
Though Ighalo has not given the green light of coming back to the national team after he retired from international duties with the Eagles team after the nations cup in Egypt, there are talks between him and the coach of the super eagles (Genort Rhor) for him to make a ”U turn according to reports.
