Former Nigeria Flying Eagles and Kwara United winger Wasiu Alalade has said he was left surprised following the circumstance that led to his departure from NPFL side Shooting Stars Sports Club last season.
The former Enyimba FC star joined the then newly promoted side from Akwa United but was dropped alongside other players during the mid-season break.
Alalade speaking in a chat with brila.net said he was surprised to have been dropped from the team because he was giving everything, scoring goals for the team and was certainly loved by the fans but stressed he may have been a victim of the shake up in the team occasioned by the demise of the club’s former General Manager Rasheed Balogun.
