Alampasu’s Europa league debut ends in a nightmare

Nigerian goalkeeper Dele Alampasu ‘s Europa League debut ended in a nightmare as his club Ventspils suffered a humiliating defeat at home to Rosenberg on Thursday.

 

The Nigerian goalkeeper was in goal for the Latvian Virsliga side, but he picked the ball out of his net five time as Ventspils lost 1 – 5 at home to the visitors.

 

Ventspils took a surprise lead with just five minutes into the game, thanks to a super strike from Yevgeni Kozlov.

 

The game took another twist right minutes later after Ventspils defender Kaspars Svarups conceded a penalty which was converted by Dino Islamovic.

 

In the 37th minute, Alampasu was beaten again by Anders Konradsen who makes it 2 – 1 for his side, before Dino Islamovic scores his second of the a minute into half time break.

 

Rosenberg wrapped superb evening in Latvia when Carlo Holse and Kristoffer Zachariassen scored in second half to make it 1 – 5.
