Alex Iwobi misses out on Everton’s POTY award

Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi was beaten by Jordan Pickford in the race for Everton’s fans player of the year award.

Iwobi who has been in excellent form for the Toffees got 34% of the votes to finish as runner up behind England’s goalkeeper.

Pickford polled 37 per cent of the votes, while Richarlison, now of Tottenham Hotspur an Anthony Gordon came in third and fourth respectively.

Alex Iwobi transformed into one of the best midfielders in the league following the arrival of Frank Lampard at the Club.

He helped the team escape the drop last season, and has been their best performer this term before the season went on break.
