Midfielder, Alex Iwobi has tipped Barcelona to overcome Inter Milan in their UEFA Champions League semi-final clash.
The Fulham midfielder shared his thoughts during an appearance on episode three of UEFA’s UCL Off Pitch, where he analyzed the strengths of both teams and predicted who could reach the final.

While acknowledging Inter Milan’s strong defensive setup and the attacking prowess of their captain, Lautaro Martínez, Iwobi ultimately backed Barcelona to go through, citing their explosive and creative attack.

“It is tough because Inter are good, defensively they are very good. And Lautaro Martinez is a very good focal point. I am going to go Barcelona because the way they attack is scary.”
“It is free-flowing football, very attacking. They got exciting wingers in Raphinha and Lamine Yamal, even players coming off the bench like Ferran Torres and Dani Olmo.
Going forward they are very creative and an exciting team to watch. So any defence, it is going to be a problem for them to contain those players.”
Barcelona, led by Hansi Flick, are aiming to return to the Champions League final for the first time since 2015.
Meanwhile, Simone Inzaghi’s Inter Milan are hoping to build on 22/23 final appearance, where they narrowly lost to Manchester City.
Iwobi, who has enjoyed a standout season with Fulham contributing 15 goals and assists in the Premier League also expressed joy at seeing his former club Arsenal reach the semi-finals.
Arsenal are set to face Paris Saint-Germain in the other semi-final, and Iwobi didn’t hide his affection for the Gunners, where he spent 15 years before moving to Everton in 2019.
“I’ll always have that connection with Arsenal, it’ll always be in my blood as they were home for me once upon a time.
To beat the holders, Real Madrid, was insane. I was celebrating for them as well, I’m happy for them.”
