UD Almeria forward, Umar Sadiq has describe his LaLiga promotion clinching goal as one that will forever remain in his heart.

Sadiq scored the equaliser in Almeria’s 2-2 draw against Leganes and it was enough to help the Club secure the Segunda Liga titles as well as promotion to the top flight.

The Forward’s heroics ended Almeria’s five year hiatus from the Spanish top division after several near misses.

“This is a fulfilled season for me. Winning the league and gaining promotion was my ultimate target with this team before any personal records,” the Nigerian said after the game.

“I’ve been the highest goal scorer of my team in the last two seasons and scoring this important goal against Leganes will forever remain fresh in my memory.”

Almeria and Real Valladolid finished joint top with 81 points from 42 matches, but Rojiblancos won the title on goals difference.

Umar finished the campaign with 18 goals.
