Midfielder Akinkunmi Amoo has been ruled out of the action, after sustaining a ‘serious’ knee injury.
Copenhagen disclosed this in a statement through their official website on Tuesday.
Amoo sustained a knee injury during training session and has now undergo a successful surgery.
“Akinkunmi Amoo unfortunately suffered a serious knee injury in Saturday’s training match against Silkeborg, and after scans and examinations he has unfortunately been ruled out for the rest of the season.
“Amoo now has an operation, then rest and then a long rehabilitation before he can train with the team and play matches again. Altogether, that process will last 9-10 months,”Says Chief physician at FCK, Morten Boesen.
The injury is a setback for the youngster who was named in the squad for the UEFA Champions league.
Amoo signed for the Danish Champions from Swedish Allsvenskan side Hammarby in January 2022.
