Emmanuel Amuneke says it’s important to design a proper strategy to qualify for the FIFA World Cup than to play focus on brand of football.
Nigeria and Ghana will face off in a double header clash for one of the slots at Qatar 2022, first in Cape Coast on March 25 and then in Abuja on March 29.
Going into the game, the Super Eagles had impressive campaign at the African Cup of Nations in Cameroon, but suffered shocking exit from the tournament following round of 16 defeat to Tunisia.
And speaking ahead of the clash with Ghana, Amuneke stated that, it is important learn from the experience and not just focus on playing good football,but how to get results.
“The game is between two giants of African football, the important thing is to manage the games very well and not just how we play alone” Amuneke told brila.net.
The former Barcelona confirmed, he wil sit with the technical adviser Austine Eguavoen and see how they’ll approach the game.
“It’s true that I like good football, but I’m in Spain currently and when I return , I’ll meet Eguavoen and we’ll look at what’s good for the team.”
“We will look at the invited players and see what we are going to do with them.” He concluded.
Amuneke stressed that the team doesn’t need distractions and just have to focus on the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier against the Black Stars of Ghana.
