Anderson Esiti wants Super Eagles return

KAA Gent midfielder Anderson Esiti has expressed his desire to be called up to the Super Eagles team ahead of preparations to the 2019 AFCON in Egypt.

The power playing midfielder in a chat with www.brila.net stated that he would always honor a call up to the national team, as he has been called up twice in the past to feature for the Eagles.

“I have featured twice for Nigeria before, but right now my focus is on my club at KAA Gent. I want to continue to improve and play my football”.

“Its every players dream to play for their national team, and for me, I also want to feature for the national team so whenever I am called upon by the manager, I will always make myself available

Esiti has been capped twice by Nigeria at senior level. He joined Gent from Portuguese club Estoril Prai in 2016 for a fee of around €1.5 million, even as reports suggest he could be leaving the Belgian outfit this summer.

Esiti also added that he is now fully focused on establishing himself at Gent, where he is the not the only Nigerian at the club despite the departure of Moses Simon, Samuel Kalu, and Peter Olayinka, as he remains on the book of the Europa League campaigners for Belgium.
