Super Eagles duo of Maduka Okoye and Tyrone Ebuehi went head to head in the Dutch Eredivisie match between FC Twente and Sparta Rotterdam on Tuesday.
While Okoye was in goal for Sparta Rotterdam, Ebuehi kept his place in the Twente four man defense and both played the entire duration of the match.
However it was the Goalkeeper who left the pitch with bragging the rights and another clean sheet as Sparta Rotterdam secured a comfortable 2 – 0 win over their hosts.
Mario Engels put Sparta Rotterdam ahead on the stroke of half time before Deroy Duarte’s 67th minute strike, that proved to be the winner.
Okoye has now kept five clean sheets for Sparta Rotterdam this season, despite not starting the season as first choice goalkeeper.
The win moved Sparta Rotterdam to 9th on the log with 18 points from 14 matches, while FC Twente remain 6th with 24 points from same number of matches.
