Ola Aina says Jose Peseiro needs time to embed his philosophy into the Super Eagles players.
Peseiro kick started his reign with two consecutive defeats against FIFA World Cup bound Mexico and Ecuador in the United States of America.
The team lost 2-1 to Mexico in the first game played in Dallas, before losing 1-0 to Ecuador in New Jersey.
Despite the poor start, Aina believes Peseiro will enjoy a good tenure.
“I think from the games in America, this could be a good tenure for the coach and his team.”
“Obviously we didn’t have good time to train with the coach and embed what he want us to do, but I think with time, the coach should be able to do that.”
“I’m sure we’ll enjoy his tenure. It was a good trip to the USA and the boys showed what they are capable of doing, especially in the second half of both game,” He Brila.net.
Peseiro will lead the team out again on Thursday and this time, it’s African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Sierra Leone and Sao Tome and Principe.
Aina said, they are up for both games and ready to prove their worth.
“We have to do a good game, especially it’s the first game of the qualifiers, so we have start strong and put a statement out there.”
