Anthony Nwakaeme tastes defeat with Trabzonspor despite scoring brace

Forgotten Super Eagles striker Anthony Nwakaeme is back on the scoresheet after grabbing a brace for Trabzonspor on Friday.

Anthony Nwakaeme scored two goals and assisted another, but it was an effort in futility as Trabzonspor fell to a  4 – 3 defeat to Kasimpasa.

Mickael Tirpan scored the opening goal for the visitors in the 8th minutes, but Nwakaeme first set up Serkan Asan for Trabzonspor’s equalizer after 23 minutes.

The former Hapoel Beer Sheva forward then followed up with his brace in the 31st minute and 38th minutes to put his club in driving seat.

Yusuf Erdogan reduced the deficit for the visitors on the stroke of half time and an own goal by Edgar Le in the 87tj minutes brought Trabzonspor down to their knees.

Nwakaeme was then shown a yellow card, shortly before Bengali-Fode Koita scored the winner for the visitors in the added time.
