Anthony Ujah and Taiwo Awoniyi to miss Union Berlin’s clash with Bayern Munich

Nigerian strikers Anthony Ujah and Taiwo Awoniyi will both miss the Union Berlin Bundesliga game against Bayern Munich this Saturday.

Both strikers are currently nursing different injuries and won’t available for selection ahead of the trip to the Allianz Arena.

Union Berlin will also be without  Sheraldo Becker and Leon Dajaku for the match, while Niko Gießelmann will have a late fitness test to see if he can make the party.

Union Berlin are still in the race for European football next season and will need at least a point to boost their chances.

Union Berlin manager Urs Ficher said must cope with the setback, if it wanted to pull out a victory at the Allianz Arena on Saturday.

Bayern Munich will also be missing such stars as Robert Lewandowski, Serge Gnabry, Leon Goretzka, Alphonso Davies, Lucas Hernandez, and Niklas Süle, but the Swiss manager insisted that it will take a “perfect day” to walk out of Bavaria with a victory after Bayern Champions League defeat to PSG.

“I assume that they will try to make up for the (PSG) defeat against us,” Fischer said to AFP (as captured by World Sports Talk). “They’ve shown more than once this season that they can handle setbacks well,” he said in the news conference.
