Aribo Ready To Start Against Brazil – Rohr

Super Eagles’ Manager Gernot Rohr has disclosed that Rangers midfielder Joe Aribo is fit to play a part in Eagles’ friendly against Brazil on Sunday.

Aribo who made a scoring debut for Nigeria against Ukraine in last month friendly clash in Dnipro sustained a head injury in Rangers Cup game win over Livingston last month.

The player who had 22 stitches on the injured head hasn’t featured for the Steven Gerrard’s side since then.

Following the absence of Oghenekaro Etebo for the October 13th International friendly with the five-time world champions, Gernot Rohr has now revealed Aribo is now ready to partner Leicester City star Wilfred Ndidi in the heart of the Eagles’ midfield.

Rohr also showered praises on the duo of newly invited Granada FC of Spain midfielder Ramon Azeez and Peter Olayinka who plays for Slavia Praha.

“The new players did well and Aribo could be able to start the game”, Rohr said.

The Franco-German tactician added that the team will miss the energy of Etebo in the Midfield.

“Yes we will miss Etebo but Ndidi can play again”, added Rohr.
