Scottish giants, Glasgow Rangers have confirmed that Super Eagles midfielder, Joe Aribo won’t be available for their league cup match this weekend.
The club confirmed the news through their social media handle late on Friday night, after he skipped training.
Manager Steven Gerrard said he left the player out of his side’s Europa league 2 – 2 draw with Benfica on Thursday due to illness and the club isn’t expecting his to return until next week.
“Rangers can confirm that Joe Aribo is currently being treated for a minor illness and is being monitored accordingly over the weekend.
“We expect Joe to rejoin the first-team squad early next week,” he said on Twitter.
Rangers’ League Cup will lock horns with Falkirk on Sunday and another Nigerian international, Leon Balogun is expected to feature.
