Arokodare misses KRC Genk Training due to illness

Tolu Arokodare was absent from KRC training session on Wednesday, the striker is injured but missed the session due to illness according to sources in Belgium.

Arokodare is said to be suffering from a sore throat and was given permission to skip the practice.

It is unclear if he’ll be available for Thursday’s session, with Manager Wouter Vrancken desperately needing every player available for the title charge.

The Forward was involved in Genk’s game against Union Saint-Gilloise on Sunday.

He came on in the second half but was unable to save the Limburgers from losing the tie 3-0.

Arokodare has only played 214 minutes and scored one goal in the Jupiler Pro League since his transfer in January.

Genk signed the Nigerian as replacement for compatriot, Paul Onuachu, who left for Southampton.

However,  just as his career was to take flight, he was sidelined for three months with a tear in the meniscus.
