Arokodare Not Under Pressure to Score first Bundesliga Goal

Tolu Arokodare is not worried about his lack of goals since moving to FC Koln, but he is committed to helping the club go up in the table.

Arokodare, 19, secured a switch to the German Bundesliga side in the summer following his impressive form for Latvian side Valmiera.

Since joining from Valmeira, the former Box to Box FC product has played just 38 minutes of league football for Koln, who are currently in the relegation battle with just three points from seven matches.

“We are all concentrating on staying up at the minute,” said the Forward.

“We have three points now, and that is too few. We are working hard for our goal. I haven’t set any goals personally. If I help the team, that helps me as well. First, the team, then myself.” he said.

Next for Koln is the visit of Union Berlin on Sunday, before traveling to Borussia Dortmund, Arokodare however believes his side can win both matches.

“We want the first win,” he added.

“That would be really important for our confidence. Afterwards, it’s Dortmund and the next big task. Every game is incredibly important for us.”
