Arsenal fans want the club to sign Victor Osimhen over Gabriel Jesus in the coming transfer window.
Arsenal are in the market for a striker and they have followed Napoli’s Osimhen closely, but believe negotiating with Napoli would prove difficult.
With Napoli demanding over €100 for the Nigerian international, Arsenal has lined up Gabriel Jesus and Gianluca Scamacca of Sassuolo as a backup option.
However, in a social media debate, Arsenal fans believe Osimhen would be a perfect fit for Mikel Arteta’s team than Gabriel Jesus.
@openminded guy wrote on Twitter: “We lose points in physical away games like Palace, Brentford, Everton, Southampton, and Newcastle. If we don’t get either a physical 9 or midfield engine like Bissuoma/Renato, there won’t be any change in results next season. Osimhen will solve these problems”
Eddie Mistra said: ” Physicality has been a major issue, especially going forward. Heading ability as well. That’s why I’d say Osimhen, but not for that ridiculous price tag.
Steve: “Osimhen. We need a physical striker who is very good in the air. Jesus is a good player but lacks that kind of physicality & he is also not good in the air. Ideally, I want an Osimhen with Jesus flair, all in one player.
Marzi Brave: “Personally, I’ll say Oshimen because he’s always hungry up front and he seems more clinical but Jesus has been in the PL for some years and understands the league better. That’s the only advantage I feel Jesus has over Victor.”
Meanwhile, Napoli insisted Osimhen will be staying in Naples for at least one more season, despite the interest from Arsenal and Manchester United.
