AS Pelican threw a spanner in the wheels of the Rangers’ Confederation Cup campaign, handing the NPFL side a 2-1 first-leg first round defeat in Libreville.
The home side scored two first-half goals to open a comfortable lead before Nnamdi Egbujuo reduced the deficit.
Rangers couldn’t find the a way back and left the Stade Augustin Monédan de Sibang needing a good performance in the return-leg to reach the group stage of the competition.
