Super Falcons and Leicester city defender, Ashleigh Plumptre has expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to represent the Super Falcons of Nigeria.
The English Born defender spent eight days with the Falcons in Austria, before making her debut in 1-0 win over Olimpija Ljubljana at Vosendorf Stadium last Friday.
The Leicester City defender who has since returned to her base in England said he’s grateful for the time she spent with Nigeria and revealed she learned a new football culture.
“So grateful to have spent the past week in Austria with the Nigeria Women’s National Team (learning all things football, culture and how not to dance,” Ashleigh Plumtre said via her Instagram page.
The 23-year-old is who represented England at U15, U17, U19 and U23 side is expected to be included in Coach Randy Waldrum squad for Aisha Buhari Invitational Tournament holding in Lagos in September.
