Nottingham Forest have announced the signing of Super Eagles striker Taiwo Awoniyi.
The forward joined for a club record fee of £17.5 from German Bundelisga side Union Berlin.
Nottingham Forest are delighted to confirm the signing of Nigerian international forward Taiwo Awoniyi for a club record fee.
The 24-year-old signed a five-year-deal at The City Ground, after passing his medical on Friday.
Awoniyi becomes Forest’s first international signing since last month’s promotion to the Premier League.
The striker enjoyed an excellent campaign in Germany last season, scoring 20 goals in 43 games across all competitions.
He joined Union Berlin in £6.5m deal from Liverpool last summer and netted 15 goals in 31 Bundesliga matches also helped Union Berlin secure a fifth-place finish and qualification for the UEFA Europa League for the first time since 2001-02.
