Awoniyi Saves Forest from Relegation, winning goal vs Arsenal hands Manchester City Premier League title

Nigerian international Taiwo Awoniyi, grabbed the headline again as his solitary strike earned Nottingham Forest an unexpected win over Arsenal at the City Ground on Saturday.

Awoniyi followed up last weekend’s brace at Stamford Bridge with another important goal for the Steve Cooper’s side.

 

He scored the goal on the 19th minute to secure Nottingham Forest’s Premier League status for another season.​

The 25 year-old, who now has five goals in his last three games for Nottingham Forest beat Aaron Ramsdale from Gibbs-White’s assist.

Meanwhile, for Arsenal it was a disappointing day, as it ended their title challenge and crowned Manchester City as champions.
