Awoniyi sends Union Berlin to last eight of German DFB Pokal

Taiwo Awoniyi has continued his impressive run of goal for Union Berlin after scoring in the DFB Pokal game against Waldhof Wannheim on Wednesday night.

Awoniyi has been impressive for Union Berlin in recent – scoring eight goals for the Club in all competitions, before last night.

He scored in last Thursday’s UEFA Conference League game against Feyenoord. He followed it up with another strike against FC Koln over the weekend.

However, he started Wednesday’s game from the bench and was introduced for Sheraldo Becker in the 72nd minute of the encounter.
