Taiwo Awoniyi was again on target as Union Berlin defeated RB Leipzig 2-1 in Friday’s German Bundesliga game.

 

The former Liverpool forward had a perfect start to the game, when he scored the first goal of the game — inside the opening six minutes.

 

Awoniyi held off Leipzig’s defender to poke home Timo Baumgarti’s cross from the left-wing.

 

The strike was Awoniyi’s ninth league goal of the season, and fourteen of the camping in 23 appearances across all competition.

 

However, the lead last for seven minutes as Christopher Nkunku had canceled out Awoniyi’s goal in the 13th minute as they inflict.

 

Timo Baumgarti scored the winner for Union Berlin in the 56th minute and it was enough to move them to fourth position on the table.
