Babaganaru Appointed as Akwa United Head Coach

Nigeria Premier League side Akwa United has officially announced the appointment of Mohammed Babaganaru as their new head coach.

Babaganaru is set to take the reins of Akwa United until the culmination of the current season.

Chairman of the club, Paul Bassey, expressed his satisfaction with the appointment, highlighting the club’s meticulous selection process following the departure of their former coach, Fatai Osho.

“We took our time to secure the services of a top-tier coach following coach Osho’s exit, and we believe Babaganaru fits the bill perfectly,” remarked Bassey in a statement to the club’s media.

Acknowledging the efforts of interim coach Umar Abdullahi and his team, Bassey expressed gratitude for their dedication amidst challenging circumstances, citing their contribution to the club’s recent successes.

Babaganaru’s tenure kicks off with a crucial fixture against Doma United this Sunday, marking his debut at the helm of the Uyo-based club.
