Balogun returns to help Rangers to their 16th clean sheet of the season

Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun returned from injury to help Glasgow Rangers to hard fought 1- 0 win over Hibernian, in Scottish premier league match.

Balogun was handed his return by manager Stephen Gerrard after sitting out of the last match against St Johnstone due to the injury.

Balogun played the entire minutes of the match and was unlucky not to mark his return with a goal 15 minute into the match.

The Nigerian international connected perfectly with a pass from his international teammate Joe Aribo but the goalkeeper was at alert to push the ball into safety.

Rangers struggled to break down the opponent for much part of the game, but Ianis Hagi finally found the breakthrough in the 33rd with an assist from Kemar Roofe.

After failing to add another goal, The Gers defended their one goal advantage all through and recorded their 16th clean sheets of the season.

The Steven Gerrard’s men have conceded only 5 goals in the Scottish premier league this season and they are yet to lose from 20 matches played.

Another Nigerian international, Joseph Ayodele Aribo also featured for the Scottish premier league leaders in the game.
