Saturday’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between Nigeria and South Africa should not have to be about avenging the 2014 home draw in Uyo according to former Sports Minister, Bala Kwao’je, but the Super Eagles need to “win for the fans”.
Kwao’je said the Super Eagles will be playing into the hands of Bafana Bafana if they allowed the mind games by Stuart Baxter’s men wind them up.
Speaking with brila.net ahead of the clash, the former Minister admits picking the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium to host another match between the two countries will evoke very difficult memories for Nigeria.
He thus advised Gernot Rohr and his team to ” play their normal game and win it for the fans.”
