Flamingos head coach Bankole Olowookere is optimistic that his team will get the required result against Congo this afternoon.
The Nigerian U17 Women’s football team will lock on with DR Congo in the first leg second round game of the FIFA World Cup qualifiers at the Stade des Martyrs.
The Coach spoke to the press after training session, and he said they won’t disappoint Nigerians.
“After the training i feel satisfied and relived due to what the girls are giving us.”
“We will give Nigerians something to cheer with a maximum win that’ll boost our chances of qualifying for the next stage.”
“I can assure you that we are in Congo to make the country proud” He said.
Also, Flamingos captain Alvine Dah Zozzu assured Nigerians of their readiness ahead of the game against the Congolese in Kinshasa.
“We are ready for the game, we will give our best and promise to win the game for Nigeria.”
“We also want Nigerians to support us and we won’t let them down.” She said.
