Calvin Bassey is backing Ajax to retain their league title, despite their struggles this season.
Ajax are having a torrid season, struggling to win games and as a result, they remain fifth on log.
The Alfred Schreuder side played a 1-1 draw with league leaders Feyenoord on Saturday and continued to trail by five points.
Bassey saw action on Sunday playing the entire duration at De Kuip against Feyenoord.
He said, “We have confidence in our coach and we want to show that we are not done here. We have a lot of quality in the team and we are not worried.
“Let’s put the first half of the season behind us and focus on the future. We still have eighteen games to go.
“Every game is a final for us. We have to win them all, so I don’t feel any extra pressure.”
Next Thursday Ajax will host Volendam at the Johan Cruijff ArenA.
