Governor Mohammed Abubakar has ordered the dissolution of the Bauchi Elephants’ management board due to unimpressive results
The Bauchi state government has dissolved the management of Wikki Tourists due to unimpressive results in the ongoing campaign.
The Isa Matori-led board, after a run of poor results that saw the club eliminated from the CAF Confederation Cup coupled with struggles on the domestic scene, have been shown the exit.
Although the affairs of the Bauchi side will be run by club secretary, Tijani Suleiman, media officer, Nosiru Kobi confirmed that Matori’s replacement will be announced very soon.
According to Kobi, “I can confirm to you that the management board of Wikki has been dissolved and that the government of Bauchi State took the decision because of the unimpressive results of the team,”
“Also, a new management board will be named soon.”
Wikki Tourists are currently 19th in the topflight log with 21 points from 19 games.
