Bayer Leverkusen boss Xabi Alonso has refused to comment on reports linking the club with Union Saint-Gilloise star striker Victor Boniface.
Boniface is one of the most productive strikers in Europe this season, and proved his quality once again on Thursday against Alonso’s side.
The Nigerian scored his sixth goal in the UEFA Europa League, when he gave Union Saint-Gilloise the lead at the Bay Arena on Thursday.
Could he also be someone for the Bundesliga or even Leverkusen?, Reporters asked Xavi Alonso after the game.
“He’s a good player,” Xabi Alonso aisd with a smile as he ignored the question.
“He played a very good game. My boys back there now know what to expect in the second leg,” He concluded.
Victor Boniface has featured in 46 games for Royale Union Saint-Gilloise this term and scored 20 goals.
