Beaten by Soldiers, Sacked by Shooting Stars: The story of Ebenezer Odeyemi

Striker Ebenezer Odeyemi is among the 17 players sacked by Nigeria Professional Football League side Shooting Stars of Ibadan.

Odeyemi and 16 others were dropped by the management on Thursday as part of plans to rejig the squad ahead of the second half of campaign.

The management’s decision is a big blow to former MFM striker who was also made the headline for the wrong reasons two days ago .

He was beaten to stupor by men of Nigerian Army in Ibadan on Tuesday and he’s still nursing the injuries he sustained from the ordeal.

This season, Odeyemi played 10 league matches for the Oluyole Warriors and scored one and assist just once.

The striker previously has stint with Kwara United, Katsina United , Enyimba, Niger Tornadoes and Wikki.

Meanwhile, it unclear if Odeyemi and others will challenge the decision of the Club to sack them in court .
