Former Nigerian international Benedict Akwuegbu has expressed grief over the death of a former colleague (Ajibade Babalade) and calls for unity among the Nigerian players Union.
Akwuegbu who was a teammate with the late super eagles Senegal 92 nation’s cup bronze medalist, told brila.net in a chat that, it’s a painful death. He also had good things to say about the deceased.
The former Eagles forward also called for unity among the Nigerian players Union.
”Ajibade Babalade is a man with a gold heart, a fantastic man you know, very good Man, he was my friend when we played together in Austria, he was so good, it’s very pity, very painful and I feel very sad about this but such is life you know, it’s terrible so, that’s why the players Union need to unite and need to be one, we have to work together with all the players, we have to be united. “He told brila.net.
