Defender Jordan Adeoti has been declared fit to face Nigeria in Saturday’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin Republic.
Adeoti was initially ruled out of clash, but has been declared fit to participate in the game against one of the pre tournament favorites.
Benin Republic coach Michel Dussuyer confirmed to the press that the experienced defender is fit for the battle at Stade Charles de Gaulle, Porto-Novo.
“Jordan played Tuesday night with his club, he played 90 minutes on top of the trip. It was just scrubbing for him. Sessi just needed to breathe, rest his thigh a bit but nothing serious, he will be there on the pitch,” Dussuyer told the press.
Should He get chance to play, Adeoti will be the latest player with Nigerian heritage to turn out for the Squirrels against Nigeria.
