Bayelsa Queens lost their first match of the Nigeria Women Premier League (NWPL) campaign to FC Robo Queens but their attacking midfielder Tessy Biawho ensured there was no hang over on Wednesday.

Biawho helped her team to a 4-0 victory as Tarila Okorowanta’s side bounced back from their week one disappointment in style.

She was the driving force behind a vibrant attacking display from Okorowanta’s side, with Abia Angels unable to cope with the former Delta Queens youngster as she scored a double at the Nembe City Stadium.

Biawho stepped forward to the dreaded penalty spot to hand her side the much needed opener nine minutes into the top-flight fixture.

Yetunde Adeboyejo doubled the scoring with a typically predatory strike on 12 minutes after a neat exchange between Biawho and Joy Bokiri.

And the irrepressible Biahwo was at it again just before the break as she cleverly sent her headed effort past the goalkeeper for her second of the game.

Bokiri then ended the game as a contest 13 minutes from time. She popped up just a few yards out to head home. Macleans Okogba made the breakthrough happen, using her tricky footwork down the right and getting a cross into the box for her teammate to score.
