Bibiana Steinhaus will become the first female referee to officiate in Bundesliga history.
Bibiana, 38, is a police officer from Hanover, who is dating former English referee Howard Webb, has been announced by the German FA as one of four new appointments next season.

Steinhaus has overseen Bundesliga 2 matches since 2011, and also refereed the women’s gold medal match between Japan and the United States at the London Olympic games in 2012, but she was nonetheless overwhelmed by her nomination.
