The Orlando Pirates of the South Africa goalkeeper missed the 2021 African Cup Nations due to injury and has since played football since last August.
The 28-year-old, however, returned to action for Pirates in Sunday’s 3-0 win over Royal Leopards Simunye in the CAF Confederation Cup.
According to a Brila source in Ghana Koffi Mensah, Coach Otto Addo has now decided to include him in the squad that will take on the Super Eagles in Cape Coast on the 25th of March.
Coach Otto Addo invited the former Ghanaian assistant captain because of his experience and confidence between the sticks.
The coach feels the addition would be a breath of fresh air to the squad ahead of the crucial ties.
Ofori who is the number one goalkeeper for the Black Stars before his unfortunate injury has played 25 for the four time African Champions since making his debut on October 18, 2015.
Ghana will host the first leg at the Cape Coast Stadium and then travel to Abuja for the final leg four days later.
