Bolton Wanderers will always be in my heart – Jay Jay Okocha

Former Captain Austin Okocha said he’s delighted to be back at Reebok Stadium, after featuring in charity game organized by Bolton Wanderers.

Okocha and host of other Wanderers legends come together under former manager Sam Allardyce for a charity game on Sunday.

Okocha had a successful spell with the Trotters — scoring 18 goals in 144 games for Wanderers between 2002 and 2006.

The former Nigerian International was the stand out player in a team that also included the likes of Ivan Campo, Fernando Hierro and Youri Djorkaeff.

Speaking after the charity game, Okocha said Bolton will always remain in his heart.

“It’s great to be back, I have fantastic memories of this place and it will continue to be in my heart. I’m just delighted to back here.” He said.

Okocha joined the Club as a free agent  in 2002 after his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expired.
