Fenerbahce star Bright Osayi-Samuel is in ecstasy following his maiden invitation to the Super Eagles for the upcoming test game against Portugal.
Osayi-Samuel, born in London, opted to represent Nigeria at the international level.
Osayi-Samuel is eligible to represent both Nigeria and England but has now decided to pledge his international allegiance to the former.
The 24-year-old was named in Nigeria’s 26-man squad for the highly- anticipated game on Friday by head coach, Jose Peseiro.
The versatile forward, in a short message to the team’s media, said he’s happy to be invited.
“Hi, I’m Bright Osayi-Samuel, I’m happy to be here”, He said in a short video shared on Super Eagles Twitter handle.
The former Queen Park Rangers winger could make his debut for the Super Eagles against the Cristiano Ronaldo-led Selecao in Lisbon.
