Bristol 0-3 West Brom: Bilic Hails Semi Ajayi and Co for “complete performance” in Victory

West Bromwich Albion opened a four-point gap at the top of the table following the 3-0 win away to Bristol City on Saturday at the Ashton Gate Stadium.

The Baggies bounced back to winning ways after last weekend’s 2-2 draw against Nottingham Forest.

Goals from Callum Robinson (32′) and a Hal Robson-Kanu brace (36′,79′) ensured Slaven Bilic’s side secured maximum points in spite of playing with a man down after Romaine Sawyer was giving his marching orders (77′).

Bilic also named Nigerian Center Back Semi Ajayi in the starting line up and he played the duration of the game.

Ajayi put in a decent shift, making his presence felt in the four man backline.

The Summer but was almost unbeatable in the air, winning four aerial battles, two interceptions and capped the performance with a 7.2 rating based on whoscored.com.

“I must say this was a complete performance,” said Slaven afterwards.

He made his 31st league appearance in this campaign, where he has scored five times – two more and he would have equalled his highest per season goals return.
