Former chairman, technical committee of the Nigerian Football Federation, Barrister Chris Green has stated that the senior national team, the Super Eagles of Nigeria have to be commended for their feat so far of reaching the semi-final of the ongoing AFCON, Egypt 2019, after missing out on the last two editions.
The Eagles will tonight look to win bronze against the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia in the losers final, after their 2-1 loss to Algeria on Sunday, with Tunisia losing to Senegal in the other semi-final match.
Speaking to brila.net, Green also noted that the team with the better game plan, man management as well as good tactics would go on to win bronze, but that the Eagles should be commended whatever the outcome tonight.
“I will have to commend the Super Eagles for coming this far, this is a team that did not qualify for two editions and then comes this far, they deserve some Kudos, they should not drop their heads, they should keep their heads high ahead of the next match”.
“For the match, the team with the technical superiority reads the game well and comes up with very good tactics and man-management will take the game at the end of the day”.
