Gbenga Ogunbote says the performance of the Nigerian team’s on the continent this season shows there has been some improvement in the quality of the game.
Last week Rangers FC and Lobi Stars picked up points in away games against the bogey North African teams in the Confederation Cup and Champions League respectively.
Rangers were particularly impressive as they secured a 1-1 result against CS Sfaxien; to remain unbeaten in the competition and Ogunbote told brila.net it means “we’ve done something right.”
He dismissed suggestions the result was a fluke insisting it proves the investment in the team was paying off.
