Nigeria international and former Manchester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho has paid homage to former City captain, Vincent Kompany, who was honored on Wednesday at the Etihad Stadium.
Kompany brought an an end to his 11-year career at the premier League club last season, and had a testimonial game played in his honor between Manchester City legends XI and Premier League legends.
Iheanacho, who played for two seasons at the club with the Belgian, described the 33 year-old as “Captain Fantastic” highlighting Kompany’s dedication on and off the pitch.
The Nigeria international tweeted the morning after the testimonial:

Both players won the League Cup in the 2015/16 season with Man City under Manuel Pellegrini.
