Brazil defensive midfielder Carlos Casemiro said his teammates are ready to put an end to their recent disappointing results when they meet Nigeria in an all-important friendly game on Sunday.

Brazil has failed to win any of their last three matches since winning the Copa America months back.

The latest disappointing results came in Thursday’s 1-1 draw with Terrenga Lions of Senegal at the Kallang National Stadium in Singapore.

The South Americans will file out against the three-time African champions at the same venue on Sunday as they aim to end their worst since 2013, however, Casemiro stated that the selecao are fired up and ready to go for victory.

“On Sunday, we’ve another match to show our quality, to show why we are in the national team. We will analyze our match against Senegal to see what we need to improve on,” Casemiro declared in an interaction with media on Friday.

Sunday’s encounter starts at 8 pm Singapore time (1 pm Nigerian time).
