Gernot Rohr has earned some praise from former Super Eagles coach Christian Chukwu, for the currently handler’s ‘visibly impressive long term plans for the team.’

Chukwu hailed the German’s handling of the few hiccups evident in the lack of quality in certain areas of the team and his trust in the young players.

He praised Rohr for not buckling under the immense pressure of the Super Eagles coaching job and described him as the “kind of person we want”.
“We see that he has a programme; he has a future, he believes in the youth and this is the kind of person we want a person, the kind who wants to make a name, the person who wants to work.”
