Winning the CHAN 2018 tournament will require hard work and not mere talk, Ex Eagles player Ifeanyi Udeze has warned team Captain Ikechukwu Ezenwa.
Ezenwa headlined the 23-man list released by Coach Salisu Yusuf on Tuesday.
The Coach stuck with a bulk of the players from the WAFU Nations Championship in 2016, where they reached the final.
Nigeria has not won the CHAN and will be making a third appearance at the tournament in Morocco later this month.
Ezenwa was the first choice goalie at the last edition of the competition in Rwanda but the team failed to progress beyond the group stage.
Ahead of the kick off on 12 January, Ezenwa has meanwhile talked up the chances of the Eagles and considers the Eagles are one of the favorites.
However, in his assessment of the team’s chances in Morocco, Udeze insists that the team must match the tough talk with hard work.
The former Eagles defender praised the CHAN Eagles captain and even suggested the title objective is more of a charge to the rest of the team.
But, Udeze stressed that their must be collective dedication for Nigeria to triumph.
