Out-of-favour Chelsea Captain and defender Gary Cahill is on the verge of completing a move to Turkish giants Galatasaray, according to reports.
The 32-year-old, who announced his retirement from international football earlier this week to focus on reigniting his club career, could still leave Chelsea before the end of August.
Cahill has failed to feature in any of Chelsea’s opening three games in the Premier League, and it has resulted in question marks over the centre-back’s future.
The retired England International is said to be prepared to fight for his place in Maurizio Sarri’s starting lineup, but it has been suggested that the Englishman could be tempted into an exit.
According to Fotomac, Cahill has come to an agreement over personal terms with the Turkish giants with negotiations now expected to get underway between the two clubs.
The report states that the Englishman has agreed on personal terms, with club officials expected to meet Cahill’s entourage in the coming days.
